TR6 Getting my TR6 running again

Howdy!
I have a 1975 TR6 that has been sitting for the past few years. After it last ran, I drained out the gas (although I'm not sure if I did that right), but that's about it. I've finished the work on the suspension and brakes, and now I want to get it running again, so I can have some fun this summer.
My question is what should I do to give myself the best chance of smooth running as quickly as possible. I'm already planning on replacing the Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filters, Coolant, Spark Plugs (but not the wires), and Battery. Is there anything else that I should go ahead and do before cranking her up?

Replace the points and condenser.
Do you have a fuel filter inline? Change that if you do.
Since your changing the plugs, it would be a good time to check the compression if you have access to a tester.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if the carbs' float chamber needle valves are stuck in a position that might lead to flooding.
Just keep that in mind if your carbs do flood.
 
I would also add to the list to check the damper oil in the carbs. Chances are that if its been sitting for years the oil has leaked out.
