I am getting close to interior work with my GT6+, and I really want to get a back seat for it. Now obviously finding a used one is impossible, so is there any other seats that would work?
The only picture i can find is a sketch for a parts book.
I am sure I am wrong but all I ever really remember seeing in the back of the GT6 on the shelf was like a cushion that sat on the bottom of the self but it didn't have anything up the back other then the carpet.
But that is trying to remember from 30+ years ago when I use to sit in the back of my friends GT6+ when for some reason the girlfriend got the front seat.
GT6+ rear seats do exist but are extremely rare and usually quite pricey when they come up for sale. Puzzling, really, when one considers that they are much less useful than the back seat of, say, a TR3!
Learned something new today. What ever my friend had was not a seat but maybe something added.
I am not sure what use it has other then to look neat. Your kid would have to be really small to fit on that with no legs and you would have to put in seat belts in most states as well if you want to make it usable.
I saw that seat kit in a catalog. Years ogo when Mom had her GT6, I was shoved in the back so my older Sister could drop off one of her freinds after school. I was at the six foot height then. That car, like mine, had just the carpet coating and no seat.
I cannot imagine trying to actually sit in that well.

Being only 15 i hope i don't have a kid anytime soon.
I want to get one for looks, but i bet sometime one of my friends would get put back there. Well that will probably happen even if i don't find a rear seat.
I have seen a factory-optional back seat installed in a GT6+. I've a feeling your friend would be more comfortable in the "bare" behind-the-front-seat area than he/she would if the factory seat were installed!

Very true. Also The back rest sticks up a little too much for me. And considering how thick the carpet is right there I wouldn't even throw in a cushion.
I might just get some foam from a hardware store and make my own. Cheaper, and might look better.
