Get ready to strip!

I just scheduled my Bugeye for dip and strip followed by Nissans E-coating process. I've struggled with this decision and was prepared to have it and blasted and painted, but after getting a good look at all the interior cavities I decided this was the best way to go. The wait time is about 4 months and the full process from strip to E-coat takes 2-3 weeks. That said I'm excited that the process will remove all rust from the interior and protect it from future rust about as well as it can be protected. The E-coat is epoxy based and has a very good record for rust prevention and stability.

Cool. That should be good to go for decades. Pretty quick turn around too.
Looking for updates. Cool.

Tom,
the company is called Metal Finishing Services and they are located in Jackson, MS. They strip the car in a tank and go thru several processes to neutralize the chemicals used. They follow up with a few more baths and then send it on to the company that does the E-coat process. This is the same company that does the E-coating for the Nissan factory. I'm in the process of replacing any obvious rusted metal in preparation for the dip.

In other words, the stripper's brother-in-law works in the Canton, MS Nissan plant. :congratulatory:

Billy,
looks like you've been to that 'joint' before! And yes, take a handful of green backs for the stripper!
