Here is a picture of one of two Jaguars lost in a garage fire. What a shame.

Why am I not surprised to see the words "Geraldo Rivera" and "Jag" in the same sentence?

...a shame nonetheless.

Unfortunatly, unless that car had a pedigree it's not worth enough to prompt a rebuild from a burned out shell. It's amazing, for how rare those cars seem to be, that once you own one, and people know about it, they pop out of the woodwork for little or no money... "I have this old MK VII, and I'd love to see it get a good home"
Everybody finds out the same thing. They're extremely classy cars, they look wonderful, and drive wonderful, but they cost an absolute fortune to repair, much less restore, and they aren't worth much when they're done. there's just not a big market for them.
All that said, I hope they do get restored. they're only getting rarer.
(and it ain't like he dosen't have the money!)

:iagree:

Let's hope they're brought back from the dead....

But I think the other one was an XK120. More value there.

It was, now is a heap of melted aluminum, a sad sight for sure.
