Sad News! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

But the good news and I believe his legacy - is that we as a people survived and our Constitution worked.

Don’t want to get into politics so I would like to simply say that he was a good man caught in a difficult time in our history.

Gerald Ford along with the Patriotism surrounding our nation’s upcoming 200th birthday where IMHO important parts of that healing time. A lesser man might have failed to unite us during those dark days.

Just saw this on the web. Wow. Who's next?

Thanks Bret, important point. Like so many who work tirelessly and never get any appreciation. I saw a quote recently, it may have been posted by Basil, paraphrasing it said: 90% of politicians give the other 10% a bad name.

Those of you attending the University Motors Summer Party in August may want to take the time to visit the Gerald R. Ford Museum in downtown Grand Rapids. It's a neat place.

We were a member of the same organization. Great man! Very caring. PJ

He presided during remarkable times. Can't imagine who among the other 'eligibles' to replace Agnew would've done the job as well. Actually on second thought, yes I can: none of 'em.

Via con Dios, Jerry. And thanks.
