The only Simca I've ever had to deal with was the aforementioned one. The Welch plug (pardon my Anglophilic nomenclature) at the back of the head rusted through and was leaking. Two inches between head and bulkhead... managed to replace it without opening up a can of worms with head removal. Took hours of effort, yards of profanity.
