Generator Question

Hello, upon cleaning my engine I noticed that the top wire on the generator is very loose ( wiggles),
it appears that it is the spade that is loose and not the wire connection to the spade . The spade appears to be secured from the inside of the generator . Does anyone happen to know how that spade
is secured to the inside generator on the backplate ? Nut, rivet , etc ? .. upon further observation it looks like the spade comes through the back plate in a plastic type fitting . Possibly the fitting has just deteriorated over the years .... Any & all information is greatly appreciated. The charging system is functioning fine . Many Thxs

A photo is worth many words. The generators I'm familiar with have threaded studs and the wires have ring terminals crimped on and are held on the studs with nuts and lock washers. Perhaps you meant alternator?

IM just wonderin if That old car Hobby mightin have an alternator nidden inah Dynamo case. ?
