generator bracket

I ordered an "adjusting link" sliding bracket for the generator on the 1275 I'm putting in the B/E.

Even though it's a 1275 I opted to use a generator rather than an alternator.

Anyway, the link/bracket that I ordered from VB is too short and doesn't allow the generator to rotate far enough to take up the fan belt slack.

Anyone know where I can find a proper bracket, or do I need to fab one?

Fred

I guess I could get a smaller belt, but I ordered the belt and bracket together
the belt is correct when matching up to my old 948
the bracket is not

I could just take the bracket off the 948, but I'm trying to keep that completely intact

I think I have what you need laying around. At a minimum I can give you an outline so you can make your own. I'll look through my boxes tomorrow to see what I have.

That is, if the bracket would be the same as the 1098?

Thanks Ryan, that would be great!
I think it should be the same

I had the same problem using the old bracket from my 948 on my 1275. I bought a smaller belt and added the VB belt to the pile of unused parts.
