Are you listening Tony...While we were hauling Zack's MGBGT's from Baton Rouge a man flags us down and asks if we want another/Zack has 3 and half now...so I took his number. Out of the blue he calls Terry(really me but Terry has my phone) and off to Breaux Bridge we go. I'm highly skepical - my husband has no respect for our passion(LBC'S) but I was going to go look with Zack if I could get a hold of this guy. Especially since we now have 6 xtra engines and a couple of trans & Wheels and everything else etc.. long story..Red MGBGT chrome bumper no rust stored 7 years covered and on cement-loved but ignored and the man lost house and everything else in Bay St. Louis with Katrina and Rita. He makes stained glass and incredible art. Makes money making convex mirrors for trailers and motorhomes. Car has engine problems but all new parts and since my husband bought his Harley for me to give him he could hardly say no to $600. Zack's mad at me,but what he doesn't realize is Whose ever get's built first(or fixed) the 2nd one should be a snap.........RIGHT TONY......!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

hehehehehe - good grab!

Good for you to be in the right place at the right time. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

Maybe this could be one for your husband to give you as per the Harley... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Good luck with it....

So, not only Zack but you too, eh Randi - everybody's trying to put me out of business.....hehehehe

Seriously, good score...I'm betting there will be lots more down your way as people start trying to recover from Katrina - not Katrina-damaged cars buy cars that the owners finally decide to get rid of for a little extra cash to repair houses, etc.

Easiest way is to set up a free hosting site like photobucket and link them to your post. Photobucket will give you the hyperlinks to put in. Some have figured out how to get them to appear in the actual post without having to click out but I haven't learned that trick yet.

I've gotta get down your way - to see the MG's & your hubby's projects!

If I can get out of jury duty (again!) I want to spend my 60th birthday in N'Awlins...maybe I'll run by then....

Wehave a place for you to stay & guarrantee you will pass a good time (JUSTIN WILSONISM)

Well, I've got to report for jury duty 13 March...my birthday is 25th...so, we'll have to wait & see.

The best way to make these finds is to drive a MGB every day. People will stop and tell you where they've seen one or know of a friend who has one...etc. My daily driver is the best form of advertizing...my love of LBCs or my lack of sanity.

I went thru it last month... carried Colin Powell's autobio with, when the "do you know any law enforcement..." yadda-yadda, I papped up with a litany. One of the fellow prospects later said a few of them had a pool goin', I was his pick at 10:1 NOT to be chosen... He won.
