Make that the Saints only, for me. Haven't watched an LSU game since they forcefully shaved my head and made me go to a home game in my PJs and a Beanie Cap. Me, and the entire rest of the freshman men's class. Including mandatory ROT-C. And that was in the fall of 1964. So much for, <span style="font-style: italic">"Life is short, don't look back."</span>

By fall of '68, when I entered LSU, the head-shaving had stopped (I think it was the first year, actually), but ROTC was still mandatory. The only choice one had was either Air Force or Army. I picked Army, but for health reasons was sidelined to a phys-ed class. What I do remember was the cap all the freshmen ROTC participants had to wear, with their names on them - preceded by their newly assigned title: "DOG".
