Hi all. I'm trying to fit a 5 speed box to my Rover 3.5 but as I have deserted dear old Blity and all those lovly SD1 mannuals for the outer colony of Australia, I found out here that the auto box is king. I found a USA site that mentioned a Borg Warner T5 would fit and here lies the question. Are all Borg T5's the same the world over? (Some Fords have them out here). Or will I have to visit the mother land and try to convince British airways that an SD1 gearbox is acceptable hand lugage.

The t-5 transmissions are probably all very similar, but may have different input shafts, and the bellhousings will certainly be different for each engine that originally fronted the tranny.

This going into a MGB?

HEE HEE - Does this answer your question, Kenny? LOL

Maybe he's got a 3.5 rover in an mgb?

I've a TR8 5-speed behind my Rover V8....for my MGB.

The Borg Warner T5 has been used in alot of vehicle hear and abroad, Ford, Chevy etc., so yes I would guess there are differnet versions
