I need help!

I'm about done with the detailing, etc, the gearbox cover has it's new fancy heat shield on it and it's back in place.

I've purchased a fabric that closely resembles the material on the cover around the gearshift.

I need ideas about how to apply the material. It's not really flat, and the edge is rounded.

How did any of you apply this material???

Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave,

My interior guy and I discussed this issue too.
He recommended using one piece of leather. That material could be stretched, therefore there would be no meeting of the two ends in cutting another type of material to make it fit.

He used contact cement to hold it in place.

Nice! No wrinkles, that's the part that's frustrating me, but I've been thinking about this for awhile, and I think one piece is the way to go. Thanks!
