TR4/4A Gearbox rear seal removal again.......

Once the Nut has been removed does the flange yoke just need to be tapped off the shaft with a rubber mallet to access the seal or is some type of puller required to pull the flange off?
 
Mine have always come off with some encouragement from a brass hammer. But if yours is stuck, a harmonic dampener puller or 3-jaw gear puller should pop it right off.
