Bob, no I haven't. Is this relevant also for my BN6? Your link refers to BN7/BT7 parts.

Yes, it applies to the 6 cylinder cars with the side shift gearbox. I didn't find a drawing showing the extension in 100-6 parts manual on lbcdigital.com.

Volker, yes, that part Bob mentioned is the same for your car. It's only held in by a couple or three sheet metal screws on each side, probably hidden in the carpet. Once it's out of the way you'll have access to the slave cylinder.

Gents, I was able to remove the slave cylinder after getting rid of the gear box cover extension. Next Friday I will try to remove the transmission from the car.

I can't tell for sure, but that bolt head looks large to me. It should be a 3/8" fine--24TPI IIRC--bolt; maybe someone has tapped for a larger bolt? I routinely install thread inserts for these bolts as the hole is prone to cross-threading.

While you have the gearbox out, you might consider a bleeder extension. I think there's a fairly recent conversation on here about them.
A bit of self promotion - I'm selling the extensions for either the original or Toyota gearboxes. It moves the bleed screw from the slave cylinder to the engine compartment, near the heater valve. Here's the conversation. Volker, I don't know what shipping from USA to Germany would be; I could check if you're interested. Or may-be there's someone in Europe that sells one.

The extension is one of the best 'mods' you can make; I have one of the originals from 'Mr. Finespanner,' which looks very similar to Bob's ;). I once took off on a long road trip but decided I couldn't live with a soft clutch pedal after 1K miles and bled the line in the parking lot of a Texas Roadhouse in Durango, waiting for the restaurant to open.
