What kind of Lube is best for my TR6 Tranny?
I've been told to stay away from something called "gl5". Something to do with the stuff not being kind to brass parts when it gets hot.
Supposedly "gl4" is ok.
The mechanic that has done a lot of work to my car swears by using Castrol 20-W50 motor oil in the tranny. Ofcourse that stuff is "gl5",...I guess?.... So now I gotta wonder /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
I don't even know what all this "gl" stuff is all about. Apparently it's some sort of rating.
I'm sure there are lots of high tech lubricants out there these days. So what's the Best?
My Tranny has just been rebuilt,...I sure don't want to ruin it by running the wrong lube in it.
Thanks in Advance
