I am redoing the dash on my '69 Sprite and was wondering if anyone knew where to get the foam (or rubber) seals that go between the bezel and the glass. Mine were all hard and rotted till I scrapped them out of the bezels. Now I just need new one. Any help would be much appreciated!

I bought an assortment of screen window spline for the task. It is available in nominal diameters from about 3/32" up to 0.172". Home Depot carries one range of sizes, Lowes seems to have a different range. Between the two you will find what you need.

Cut a length of the spline and fit it to the back side of the chrome bezel. Make sure it is long enough for the cut ends to butt up against each other then fit the bezel to the gauge as normal. The nice thing about the screen spline is that it is sort of "star shaped" with a hole down the center. This makes it very compliant compared to an o-ring or similar.

I bought a full set of gauge gaskets from Nisonger a few years back. You might try them

You might also try common rubber o-rings of the proper thickness (from a hydraulic supply house)

Oil filter gaskets for the canister type. Cut to fit and superglue the ends to get the size you need. In the canister type filter kit, you usually get more than one seal and only one will work on your canister and the other is spare.

Good idea, Kim, the commonly supplied O ring squeezes out. The originals were flat like the filter ring.
