Gauges for a '60 Bugeye

Hi folks - just working through what I bought this weekend. The car currently has a mix of gauges, some of which are very new and out of place in the car.

I have the original dash, and am planning on returning her to a much more original condition.

My question is - goes the early Bugeye share gauges with the later Spridgets?

Think all but the Tac. Later model tac. is elec. vs mech. on the Bugeye. However they can be converted either way.

Gages do not seem to be difficult to find, try ebay but hold out for good ones.
 
What do the gauge faces look like? A MKI Sprite should have a silver circle in the center and a black outer ring. The tach shouldn't have any colored markings for yellow-line or red-line, just a hash mark around 5500-6000. The tach is ranged 0-60 by 10's and the speedo is 0-100 by 20's.

You may still be...depends on what you want the final product to look like. Of course there are exceptions, but typically if you want passable and in working condition-but not restored condition-$15-$50 per gauge seems about right. If you want restored gauges, you are looking at $100-$200. If you want mods done, for example, converting mechanical tach to electric tach, it could run you several hundred.

In the end though, it's always about what you want and what your appetite is.
 
Can anyone tell my why the bugeye had miss matched gauges in the first place?
I mean the silver speedo and tach combined with the black fuel and oil/water gauges always drove me nuts. I just stick all black face gauges in the Bugeye so they all match.
My humble opinion even if it's wrong.
