Last night, I pulled the old socket out of my temp/pressure gauge (I reused the light from the old temp gauge), and discovered the bulb is a SCREW-IN bulb. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif where the heck does one find replacements for those?!? I thought all the bulbs in our cars were bayonet style.
The last time I swapped a bulb back there I could have sworn it was a bayonet style bulb. I'm hoping this is just a freak anomaly. Thankfully, the new gauge came with a new bayonet socket. So I should be able to change the socket relatively easily, if necessary.
It just occurred to me that it's possible the screw in bulb may have been a DPO installment. I'll give the socket a closer look now that I have plenty of light.
