MGB Gauge face rubber

I pulled the face on my speedometer, as I am working to re-assemble the dash, and the thin rubber gasket behind the glass fell apart. The glass is removed with a simple twist and the front "bezel" comes off. Any nifty tricks to replicate or replace this rubber gasket? Is it even needed?

Once again many thanks!!!! I never would have found these guys even though I deem myself to be fairly adept at internet searching by now! I figured the glass would rattle and almost thought about silicone...
