Gaskets

I have checking through all my stuff and I still need quite a few more gaskets for side marker lights, headlights, tail lights, etc. Looking at the prices its going to add up fast. I am going to try something different. By chance, I was walking though walmart and looking though the section for krafts and fabrics, etc., I found these sheets of foam that they sell that looks like the exact same material that most of the gaskets are made of for the lights. Its a notebook sized sheet and its on 33 cents a sheet, and they have sheets with adhesive on one side for 55 cents. I figure I will make my own gaskets and see how they do. They even have a selection of colors besides black. Has anyone else tried this?
