The large square aluminum spacer that fits behind the brake servo up against the bulkhead, should there be some kind of sealant between the spacer and the painted bulkhead? In the past, I have used a bead of silicon here but now that it is off and the hydraulics being rebuilt, I wonder?

Mine had, and will again have, DumDum (or 3M). The same stuff used on the floor pan bolts and the inner rear fender bolts.
