Hello all I was wondering if anyone has seen this bracket on the gas tank strap before. The bracket has a hole for a bolt or perhaps a machine screw maybe to hold the back seat?

I am restoring a 1955 tr2 with a couple of parts cars that are not complete and the years uncertain. I have tr3A and the bracket is not on it. I believe the bracket is for a tr2 or early tr3, but do not know what it is for.

It is actually a bolt - 1/4 x 28. If you look carefully at this picture you'll see I sourced a flat-headed Allen bolt. I'm not sure what a concourse judge would want to see, but whatever you use, it'll likely be covered by the boot for the soft-top hoops anyway.
