Gas Tank question

Looking at the gas tank on the Multipla and it is leaking. Black gold Texas tea - it is sludge and likely very old. problem is, tapping the tank and the location of the leak suggests it is about half way full. I plan to take it to a gas tank shop to be repaired anyway, should I just let them empty it or should I clean it myself and if so, how?

Call the tank shop and ask them what to do. You really don't have a proper place to dispose of the junk and they might be able to do that and tell you how to transport safely.
