Gas Tank Horrors

Correct. Problem?

[ QUOTE ]
Nope; just means you have a non 77-80 tank/pickup.

Seeing as Vinnies car is a '67, I wouldn't expect him to have the later pickup.
Jeff

hmmmm, sorry 'bout that...but, unless you know the person or his car, you've gotta troll for information...maybe we should all start a question with something like "On my '67 roadster, I have...."

Would a lightly diluted batch of CLR work in somthing like that? I know it does wonders getting scale and other crap off just about anything. I might just try in in the tank from my GT before I go any other route.

Paul

Tony, I agree with you. But, I've been following Vinnies exploits with this thing. I didn't mean to sound offensive to anyone. Generally, when I see a post with no specific vehicle information, I'll take a quick look at the posters profile, to see if that offers any clues.
Paul, Muriatic acid would be a cheaper alternative to CLR.
Jeff

That ain't nuthin. This one came out of my MGA. I could get about 100 miles per fuel filter. I weighed the rust, it came in at just under 3 lbs. I finally changed it after it left me stranded.

Great I have a member in my fanclub

All kidding aside

I figured that since I have been posting long enough that people get to know you and your car. Did not want to bore anyone with posting "I have a ...." As it is I have been through so much with this car but the knowledge you guys have passed on with last me a lifetime. Sometimes I feel the questions are routine for you guys and bothering members is not what I want to do.

BTW: I don't see Wray's pic.

Vinnie, don't expect me to pay any fan club dues! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Wrays pic didn't come through, but after seeing yours, I don't know if I want to look at his!
It's strange, but I've had LBC's in one form or another since 1966, and have never had problems with a rusty tank!
Probably just jinxed myself with that statement.
The weather is beautiful, I think I'll go for a nice top down cruise.
Jeff

After I get through getting the GT running, I'd like to persue another B but a Roadster.

That's because Wray is still trying to get a pic attached....

3 lbs of rust.

Well, my little jaunt didn't turn out exactly as planned. After about 50 miles, the engine in the Midget went flat. It doesn't pull up to redline like it should. Hopefully, just a fouled plug, but I definitely lost a cylinder. If it's deeper than the plugs it looks like I'll be spending part of tomorrow doing an engine change.
The joys of MG!
Jeff

Actually, Vin, there are so many of us with so many cars, its hard for me to keep up with them - maybe everybody else can, but I can't - heck, I can't even keep up with mine!

Shoot I can't keep up with mine and it's onl one.

Like the sig says, it's all over the place.
