TR2/3/3A Gas Pedal - Rubber Cover?

I have the TR logo rubber covers for the brake & clutch, but what was original on the gas pedal? Any where can I get one (cheap)?

I think pretty much all cars of the day had bare metal gas pedals. That's the pedal your foot slides up and down on as you increase/decrease engine rpm. Clutch and brake you just "punch" and hold; gas you're nearly always adjusting.

Mine had a little too much slip at times so I added a small strip of non-skid tape to mine.

In 1953, these TRs were planned to be raced and rallied. Drivers used to wear moccasins of the finest leather so that the sole of the right foot would slide on the gas pedal. BTW, when I bought my TR3A brand new in 1958, the rubber pads on the clutch and brake pedal had vertical grooves. Later TRs were produced with a "T" moulded into the pad. That's what I've been using for the past 23 years but I have a brand new pair of grooved ones for concours shows etc.
