Anyone know off hand what should be used to hold the hinge of the gas pedal to the floor? I got a new pedal and link from VB but can't tell if there's captive nuts in there or just holes for screws or what?

my memory is captive nuts

snoopys gas pedal tore out of the floor as I drove down south beach with my girl friend sitting with her leather boots over the windshield I had to try and keep the car running and look cool at the same time

Good, 1/4 28 is what I decided they must be and what I have will find out tonight. Also discovered some rust pinholes in the floor, will have to decide best method to "slow it down" for now and soldier on. Off to finish off reinstall of engine gearbox and fire it up.

I'll confirm: captive 1/4-28's. If the floor is rusted there they can be a real bother to reattach with certainty. Be sure the structure around 'em is stout enuff to bear up.
