Gas Odor Elimination

Gas spilled on the carpet in my trunk (due to faulty fuel sender). I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to eliminate the smell from the carpet. Tried hard brush rub of hot water and Tide; hot water and a liquid degreaser; hot water with white vinegar and baking soda, and then Odor Eliminator. Still enough smell to be noticed. Beyond replacing, any suggestions?

Also, in anticipation of failure, any source recommendations that would sell just the carpet that covers the gas tank on a AH 3000 MKIII BJ8 Phase 2 (Moss will only sell the entire trim units for the trunk and not separate). Thanks in anticipation of a suggested solution.

Remove from boot, spray with a Dawn detergent mixed in water, rub in, and let set until it soaks in good - hours - and then rinse and dry in this sun.
