TR4/4A Gas cap Gasket 4A

Where do you good gentlemen suggest I can get a new gasket that fits up inside the gas cap, it seals to the top of the filler neck, the old ones were too dried out crumbly to use, I do not see the part listed on the usual suppliers, is it a matter of getting a sheet of gasket material and cutting my own or using an old mason jar ring. Your suggetions and information would be appreciated. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/canpatriot.GIF

I used a square profile O-Ring. I cut it to length and pushed it into the groove. I didn't bother to glue the ends of the new 'ring' together, just made sure it tightly filled the groove. Works fine.

Thanks for the info, I had a feeling that this would be a home made replacement part. Not too critical but on that list of just one more thing to do.

And Geo thanks for your car picture, couldn't believe how identical our cars are, even down to the suitcase. The wife thought it was spooky. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/canpatriot.GIF
