GA speed traps

Got it , thanks, Elliot. We're only a mile or so from it, we'll try it tomorrow:smile:

Whoa, a TR8??? I've never owned a lbc that new. We just got one with roll up windows a couple years ago!

Doc, how far are you from Siesta Key?

Fifty miles NORTH!

Wow, we passed you by quite a bit. I was gonna buy you a beer, guess we'll have to wait til next time!

Back in the 70's and 80's when my partent lived in Sarasota we really loved this place Phillippi Creek Village Restaurant and Oyster Bar. Later on they have enclosed the open air bar area and it isn't quite the same but still good.

Not if my wife's driving!!

At least get to St. Armand's and have some stone crabs at The Columbia... And tip a cold one fer me!

Good idea, Doc. Did you get my pm? I'm on a cell phone and am having a hard time navigating around the forum. I'm not sure it went out. If you are going to be around here the next couple of days let me know. I seem to be able to get pm's, just not sure if I'm sending correctly.

Doc... if you're headed to the Columbia I just might fly down and meet you guys. It doesn't get any better than sitting outside at St. Armand's dinning at the Columbia.

So Elliot, last night we ate at the Dry Dock. Great! Now I guess we gotta try this place..

You won't be disappointed at the Columbia. The restaurant has been around since 1925 and has roots in Ybor City in Tampa.
Enjoy!

Getting the PM's, Larry. Answered the last one.

The Ybor City Columbia is a great place for a lunch meal in the "off-season". The St. Armands location doesn't have an "off-season" to my mind. Seems to be busy all the year.

As per the title of this post - listen to Jim Croce's "Speedball Tucker".

"I looked into the rearview mirror,& com'in up from behind-
there was a Georgia State Policeman,& a hundred dollar fine.
He looked me in the eye as he was writ'n me up,& driver you-
must be blind,& 95 is the route you were on,it was not the
speed-limit sign ...."

- Doug

Made it through GA northbound, too. We're in NC just about even with Jacksonville and Camp Lejeune, where I spent many a day in my Mis-spent youth with the Eighth Marines.
