TR2/3/3A Fuse Size TR3A

Very simple question - are the two fuses for a 1958 TR3A supposed to be 25 amp or 35 amp?

I am talking about Lucas (British) fuses - I know the controversy surrounding U. S. vs British fuse ratings.

My parts book says 50 Amp. That would be the Lucas size. If you're using US fuses, then put in 25 Amp.

Edit: OK, a little more research in the parts book. I should have noticed this earlier. My bad. One of the fuses is 50 amp, and the other is 35 amp. That's British size. It shows the topmost fuse as the 50 amp and the bottom one as the 35 amp.

I just did a makeover on my electrical and I put in a 35 amp (British). It had a 50 and the owner of the TR Shop in Houston told me it was susposed to be a 35.. I never checked the parts book

My manual ("Hints for the maintenance of the Triumph TR3", Standard-Triumph, Coventry England) says 35 amp, service number 188218.

The original parts manual shows a 50 Amp (for the horns) and a 35 for the other one. It also shows a change in the horns, although no specific Comsn #. At some point, they went to 35 for both, maybe for the TR3A? I'll look in my TR2 & TR3 original owners manuals when I can get to them.

The fuse specification change point might be the TS60001 and later cars, which got the revised wiring harness with more "Lucar" connectors (fewer bare wire ends that screwed directly into terminals, i.e., on the voltage regulator)?
