Was this for the door seal or the window? I put the spring clip in the bracket, passed the bracket up so the top stuck out above the door, grabbed the top of the bracket with a pair of vice grips and pulled it tight.

As I said in another post, Martin is the LBC rubber fittings "Geek Squad." He's more money, but in the end it saves a lot of aggravation.
