It kills me whenever I see a Ferrari replicar, most of them are all built on Fieros. Nothing like seeing very Italian looking bodywork and then seeing that 80's style GM crappy interior. No matter how much custom upholstery you put on it theres no hiding where it came from unless you completely gut the interior and start over.

the automatic shifter is a nice touch too /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Very true. However, in twenty or thirty years will people be restoring and fawning over Fieros at car shows? Only time will tell, but hopefully not.
A friend of mine in high school, his last name is Fiero. We were juniors the year that the Fiero came out, and his older sister ran right out and bought one because it had her name on the car. She had more problems with that thing, seemed like it was back to the dealership every other week. I Thought it was a POS then, still think so now.

From what I've read, the 4-cylinder Fieros had a problem with rods breaking and going through the block. I understand that the 6-cylinder Fieros were relatively good cars, but by the time they came out the platform was near the end of its life cycle, and GM couldn't justify engineering the next generation. I know of one near me whose owner loves it and has put a ton of miles on it, but keeps it in good condition and shows it in the local show annually.
