I was cleaning off some old junk from my server, and ran across this. Of course this was likely posted a long time ago, but thought I'd re-post it. I don't recall who it was that provided the picture.

Keep your mouse off the picture at first! Follow the instructions and see if you get the effect.

Amazing how these images take advantage of neural processing in the visual cortex. Love the way it goes from color to B&W too.

That is awesome! I had no idea that our brains were able to take a color negative and superimpose the color over a black and white copy.
 
There are many famous experiments about the power of the brain to compensate. One is where a guy wore glasses that completely INVERTED his field of view (i.e., everything was up-side-down). Within about 3 days his brain had re-corrected it all and he was doing normally! Of course, when the glasses came off he had to re-adjust again over several days.
