If you guys and gals miss this one, you will miss a lot of fun!

Triumphest 2007 is October 11-14 at the River Palms Resort Hotel in Laughlin, Nevada. This resort is about 90 miles south of Las Vegas on a wide spot on the Colorado River known as Lake Mead Recreation area, boating, jet ski's, water skiing, swimming, fishing, sun bathing, helicopter rides, ski boat parachuting, Hoover Dam to the north outside Boulder City, drives on US Route 66 a short drive to the east in Kingman AZ, Drive your Triumph across the old stone London Bridge in Lake Havasu to the south, not to mention the great fall weather for drop top driving.

Web site is https://www.triumphest.com/

This years theme is "The only Bond Film where James Bond Drove a Triumph". So get your best Bond suit, your Bond Girl, and your Triumph and get to Triumphest!!

Since James Bond drove a Saffron Stag in "Diamonds are Forever" - (with a Herald exhaust overdubbed to it because the Stag V8 exhaust sounded BETTER than an Aston Martin DB), well we will be pushing for a LARGE attendance of Stags at this event!! I will bet that if you own a Saffron Stag, it will be displayed in the hotel Lobby!!

The Triumph Stag Club USA will be having a Triumph Stag exhaust note contest to see which attending Stag sounds the best!! I recommend that the Judges be a team of Bond Girls :>

Very nice rooms are $34 per night except Friday/Saturday are like $64 IF you book using the club discount.

So you Californian Stag and Triumph Owners, all you TEXANS that did not come to VTR 2007 after we ALL sweated our butts off driving to Irving in freakin JULY, and every state within a day or two drive to Laughlin, hop in the Triumphs and get to Triumphest!!!

The most member attendees by any of the clubs arriving at Triumphest wins an award.

Be there!!

Well Randall you have about 12 days. It is only what, 5 hours to Laughlin from your place?
Bring it down we'll go get a bunch of paint cans from Wal-Mart and get your color changed in the parking lot /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif

Chuck Kittleson will be trailering his Stag, showing people how to put parts on a fresh paint job, just recently out of the shoppe.

Unfortunately my personal situation has changed a bit, and I probably won't be there. My folks definitely won't be there either, although they should be home from the funeral in a few days.

The Stag is still in the paint shop, but with luck I'll have it by next weekend. Couldn't get the color I wanted (Lotus Racing Green Metallic), but hopefully it's close. This is definitely a driver, and when they told me that just the materials were going to be some $3000, I blinked. Going with a Ford green pearl/metallic (which I've already forgotten the name of).

Then there's a lot of other things to do as well; not going to drive to Laughlin with the steering the way it is, and so on.

Sorry bout that.
Randall
