That depends on how you define "blimp"...

There are lots of small "blimps" used for advertizing and other uses.

Seems like there are at least 12 (5 x 500 + 7 x 600 model) modern ones listed on this site and there must be others (Goodyear) too. Maybe some of the older ones survive?

Where'd the number 13 come from?
 
There are 25 full scale "real" non-rigid airships registered in the USA. That doesn't mean they're all flying, but looking at the list at least 17 of them seem "active".

Goodyear only uses 3 but they have 6 registered. There are quite a few Airship Industries airships flying stateside. For years they were negotiating to build a factory here near Daytona.

Problem is there's nothing cheap or easy about them. We get a lot of (I think) Airship Industries airships in here. They usually have a few trucks with them, one with a mooring mast they have to set up and secure, and a big van with the ground crew. To go anywhere they have to mobilize everyone, pay for meals, hotels, gas.

Still, I see 'em all the time around here. Hardly seems like anyone looks up anymore though.
 
We get them alot here during the summer, particularly during the US Open.
 
Visit any beach in Rhode Island during the month of July and I am sure that the count will be revised even higher than with Dave's local swimming pools.
