bizarre- beside doesn't he know that's there is no such thing as fully restored? and, while I'm at it, does ebay charge extra for listings if people clean their engine bays? Is that why no one does?

What was restored, the paint job?
Nothing else looks like it was even cleaned up.
Oh, it was fully restored 20 years ago

That is exactly what I was thinking, Sprite nut. Some of that stuff looks like it has never been apart, much less restored.
Under the bonnet looks rough. I still drool every time I think about your blue sprite with the race bonnet on it. That is a sweet ride. You had 3 spridgets out there at LOTO. Makes me wonder what else you got for toys in your garage at home

I was one of those guys that fell for the car was "restored". I'm glad I got my Bugeye but I have replace so many parts that I am am embarrassed to say. It was just that I always wanted one and just never saw any available that were around here for sale. It has been good in a way since I have worked a lot on my car and have really gotten to know a lot about the sprite. I could never get out what I have put in because its basically a good driver. To totally restore would not be in my best interest financially. It definately looks cool and gets a ton of comments which is great for the aging ego.

You notice it has no bids.
The "wrinkle" in the dash looks like windscreen water leak, killed the wood and loosened the fabric.

LR quarter, that's bondo you see, and looks like a PIXX poor repair.
The exhause clamp.........isn't that caused by wrong shape to the outpipe and the axle hitting it?

No pads in the springs.....maybe not "stock", but a lotta guys put teflon strips in between leaves.

Just like my car was "new"...at one time.
If that was fully restored, yeah, like everyone says, 20 years ago.

His "opening bid" for that vehicle is not, IMHO, realistic.

Maybe he left off the "ready to be" from the "fully restored"?
