TR2/3/3A Fuel Tank Overflow

i have a 1959 TR3A - every time I fill up the fuel tank - someone stops me to tell me my car is leaking a lot of gas especially when accelerating and going around shard turns/corners.

Is the overflow pipe supposed to go somewhere specific to avoid this issue?

I’ve tightened all the clamps and can find no leaks anywhere else.

After using about 1/4 tank of gas - there are no more leaking of gas until I refill again.
 
That hose on my 56 is a tank air vent, and gas definitely can flow out on hard cornering when full. There are no baffles in the tank to restrict fluid movement. I just don’t fully fill the tank to avoid the issue. I recall reading about adding a valve to allow air into tank while stopping gas flow, but I have not done that. Try searching for “fuel line breather valve”. Might be able to add that to the end of the hose.
