Fuel system

I just wanted to see if anyone had any good ideas for cleaning out the fuel system on a tr3. I really don't want to have to pull the gas tank and get it cleaned. So if there is any treatments out there or tricks that people know of please let me know. Thanks guys

How bad is it. Is the car running ? or how long has it been sitting ?

Its running but it studders under full gas. I have replaced most all of the electrical system such as the coil, plugs and wires. The only thing I haven't replaced is the distributer. I am pretty sure the carbs need to be rebuilt, but it also has a new fuel pump on it. Also if it sits for along time it takes forever to start it up, and I usually put a little space heater under it for a couple of mintues and then it starts right up. So I was thinking it might be dirty gas. I put the highest grade of gas in it and then some lead addative. Any ideas would be welcomed. Thanks guys.

Pull the tank and have it cleaned and coated. The lines between the tank and sedimentbowel and beyond, need also to be steamed and dried as well. Believe me, scrimping here is false economy!

YIKES!!! A space heater around the fuel system!!?? You're much to valuable to the forum, to be possibly injured by a gas explosion.
Take care,..."Let's be careful out there"

Pulling the tank is pretty easy. I'd soak the hold down bolts (from the bottom) in Kroil, PB Blaster or such for a few days..it makes 'em way easier to remove.

Pull the back seat cushions out, then the cardboard divider and you'll see the two hold down bolts that are attached to the bottom of the tank straps. Disconnect the fuel gauge wires..you may have to fiddle with the overflow line a little...unbolt it and kinda pry it out...voila!
