fuel starvation on my 100

For those of you that endured my ranting about my 100 becoming fuel-starved at +2800 rpm, here's a chance to get a good laugh.
Anyone familiar with Occam's ruler?
It dictates that when there are multiple possible answers to an apparently complex question, that the simplest answer is probably the right answer.
So, new aluminum gas tank, new AU pumps, new float levers, etc later......turns out that the fuel filter was clogged.
Looked good on the outside......didn't realize tat the muck was trapped on the inside...out of sight.
Michael, you ow me a good beating.

Were you refering to Ockham's Razor?. Yeah get em Michael.--Keoke- /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

A related rule, which can be used to slice open conspiracy theories, is Hanlon's Razor: ``Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity''.

Hey think of all the parts you now do not have to worry about. Especially the full tank. Mine slowly shed flakes and clogged filters etc. You are not the first to go through this sort of tail chasing. It actually does me good to hear I am not the only one to use the "razor".
