Fuel pump Stuck

1976Midget

Okay so i was working on my 75 Midget today. trying to change the fuel pump. well after removing the 2 bolts that hold it in . i go to pull the pump outand it get stuck About 3/4 The way Out. What Gives. It sorta looks like the lever is stuck on the inside of the motor. how am i to remove this pump. only way i can think of is finding some way to remove the studs frist. not looking forward to that

SLOWLY rotate the engine till the lever loosens up enough to remove. The lever rides on the cam lobe and it may be on the high spot, what you want to do is rotate the cam till the lever is on the low spot.
