Fuel pump check valve

What year, Model and engine displacement are we discussing? A Series III XJ6 has a separate check valve/Non-Return valve depending on which of the two fuel tanks is being used. I don't recall a checkvalve on my 90 V-12 XJS. is your car Fuel injection or carbureted?

Well.....1964 Mark 2, 2.4L, RHD, Moss box, twin Solex downdraughts....but the Facet pump used to replace the SU unit has no check valve...turn it off, all the fuel runs back into the tanque.

hi Dave, no Jag ever used a non-return check valve until the Series 3 XJ-6/12 (1979-1992), and that one is an electronic non-return valve. On all Jags before the Series 3 XJ, the pump(s) pressurize(s) the system when you turn the ignition switch to START.

SNG Barrat USA has online drawings of all Jaguar fuel systems and you can see them here:
