Quick question; anyone know what size the fuel line is in a '71 TR6?
 
I just replaced all mine on a 73. 5/16" tubing matched up with the old ones. I picked up a 25' roll at AutoZone for main line and return. Ended up with about 6-8 feet left over.

thanks a lot, that is what i thought the size to be. by the way, how did you go about straightening the rolled line?
 
5/16" is correct size. You can pick up random lengths of rigid steel fuel line from your local NAPA dealer as well. Rigid line is a bit tougher to bend but there aren't that many complicated bends beneath your car.

Also, make sure you use quality rubber fuel line for the few junctions that require rubber. I always use geniune Gates rubber fuel line material.

Getting it straight from the coil was pretty easy. I used a 'loan-a-tool' tubing bender from Advance Auto. It was not great on the tigher turns, but they none of the turns are very tight. I had saved my old lines to provide a pretty good guide for the initial cuts and bends.
 
Check out www.classictube.com, They have prebent lines in steel or stainless. I couldn't bend lines to my satisfaction so that's the route I went. The fit and finish was excellent, though it did take them quite a while to ship. It did not include the final piece that splits to the carbs. If you go to their site you have to hit search -triumph - all models - all years to find the fuel lines. If you get model specific it only shows hydraulic lines.
