fuel line clips

Guys, I just installed the brake lines and now about to install the new fuel line. for some reason, I had all the clips for the brake lines, however, the fuel line clips were missing. Are the fuel line clips the same as the brake line clips? The moss catalogue shows fuel line "clips" at like 4 bucks each and I would need 7..........seems pricey for a little piece of metal. Anyone have another source or idea? yes, I am cheap as I have, and still need, so many parts to replace and it adds up.

Doug, the fuel line clips are different. They are proportionally larger than the brake line clips to hold the 5/16" steel line. Kevin

Yes, look the same, but the fuel line clip has a larger hole for the line itself.

If your in a pinch and need to use a brake line clip for the fuel, you can use but its "wonkey" looking when done, or from my experience i should say. The reason, the brake line clip if laid flat is shorter than a fuel line clip due to the circumference for the actual line its meant to hold. So, when widening the circumference for the line to fit, your actually moving the securing hole used to attach the car to the car closer to the line, and looks odd. If its not a show car, no sweat. If its judged car, it may not be what you want it to look like.

I decided to use "aircraft style" clamps after discovering brake and fuel lines that were flat due to hitting objects on the road as well as nearly rubbed through places due to vibration. You can pick these up at your local home improvement stores. If it's not a show car...who cares? They are safer and are not expensive!
