Thanks for the links. That is the car. I called Hilborn, they were happy to talk to me. They said in 1961 14 were cast and 6 were machined for use. The one I have is the only one they worked with the owner to get running. I was trying to see if anyone else new were the other 5 are or they were ever made to run. Hilborn can supply any part but the castings. John

What did Hilborn say about running it on the street?

Saw your post on the HAMB. Should've warned you about the greeting you might get from some of the members, but see you got some good info. When I went on the HAMB I knew there would be resistance on this side of the pond. Its nice to see they are so passionate about their cars.
I think they were meant for drag. I don't like the term WOT any more. The previous owner had very good success in road racing. She runs so rich she doesn't have a radiator fan. He said the fan did not help. She runs lean at 7k rpm. But he wasn't laying a smoke screen at a red light. Thanks for the links.
