Fuel cost

ran out of fuel.jpg

Going by a station today and cost sign changed up $.04 per gal.

This is one of those times I'm glad the station I use has a membership, which is free and uses gas cards for optional payment. I can go in, put $20 on the card then use the card to get the gas. Saves me 10 cents a gallon for no overall financial cost to use.

Regular is $6/gal here last time I checked.
Glad I only have to fill up about once a month.

Hovering around 1.80 a litre here. Fortunately we have the Mohawk Territories about 20 minutes away where it is closer to $1.40

and converting 1.80 CAD per litre to USD price per US gallon is ...

but more relevantly $7.80 CAD a gallon since we don't use USD (much) here. :(

Today's exchange rate is $1CAD= $0.72USD. So $7.80CAD is $5.62 for us Americans.

I typed 'Yanks' instead of Americans at first, but being from no where near to New England it felt wrong on many levels.

Back during the 70s embargo I filled at a station with no lines. Fuel was $2.99 a gal. Regular anywhere else was limited to 10 gals at .90 a gal. Station later got sued by the State for price gouging. I did not care had to drive 30 miles to work.
