For some reason. ……..

Our Diesel prices hit £1.90 per litre this week. The highest I’ve ever known it. And they are expecting it to get higher.

This makes it £7.18 per US gallon.

This is $9.53 per us gallon

Petrol is £1.60 per litre
That’s £6.05 Us gallon
This is $8.03 us gallon

Exchange at 0.75 pence =$1

How are you guys doing ?

Regular petrol in my area is $4.20/gallon or
£0.84/litre
Using your £1.60/liter means a gallon would cost £6.05 or $4.57/gallon at the current exchange rate.
Did you mean1.60/litre USD?

Here in eastern Connecticut, I see around $4.20 per (US) gallon. That's about a 30% rise in 30 days. Diesel for trucks, etc. around $5.00 now, around a 40% increase in 30 days. This will affect food prices, which are already going up even before the new shortage of oil-derivative fertilizers.

Even when oil prices drop, gas and diesel will stay up for months afterward, as well as food prices.

I just noticed Diesel at a local discount station was higher than that.
Wasn't Diesel supposed to be a more economical alternative to petrol?
 
It's up to $2.99 a gallon here, the last time I filled up. It'll be over $3 a gallon by the time I fill up again.
 
1.73 a litre (about $6.92 a gallon) here and diesel about 2.32 a litre
 
$3.14 a gallon here in Locust Grove Ok. We have some of the cheapest gas prices in the country.
 
Not slowing down, do not take public transport (unavailable) and will not walk. Never worried about fuel, LR4 gets 23 mpg on highway, MINIs 30+, RV 15. Boat $50 a day.
 
Varied back and forth somewhat here. I filled up the Friday before all this started, paid $2.30 a gallon. As of yesterday depending on where you sop it's anywhere from $3.50 to $4 a gallon in SW OH..
