Fuel and temp gauge not working

Noticed on the way to the Hellertown show yesterday that neither fuel or temp gauge are working. Fuses are fine.

Car is a 73 MGB (late 72 build date). Any ideas?

Check the ground wire on the gages Scott. Might be your problem. PJ

Will check the wiring at the gauges first. Seems odd that they're both out, unless they share a ground.

Been too lazy to fold myself into a pretzel and attempt to stuff my hand back there. As I recall, last time I did that I couldn't even see the connections, much less play with them.

edit: just had a look see at the schematic, it must be the stabilizer, as the ground comes from the senders. Looks like I get to pull the console (again).

Believe it or not, I use a mirror and a flash light to see up there to locate something before trying the double jointed thing. PJ

Good idea.

Looks like the fuel gauge feeds the temp gauge via the regulator, so I'll check the fuel gauge connection first. My bet is that connection is, err, not connected. Might be time to enlist my 11yr old with his tiny hands.
