Hi all. Before I scream bloody murder ... does anyone here use Frontier for cable or fiber service?

I've never received a Frontier monthly service bill - just a monthly email saying my payment will be deducted from my bank through autopay.

So there's no way for me to know about any upcoming service or cost increase. Wonder if anyone here gets a monthly bill (either paper or email). Spending 45 minutes (half chatbot, half human) resulted in "click the link on your email bill" - but there is no email bill. If you want a monthly bill, it'll cost $4.50 a month.

Thanks.
Tom M.

Tom, the auto pay I have that don’t send a bill have always sent a email letting me know of price increases so far.

Thanks Bob. So you don't get a bill either? just the autopay notice? None of my autopay emails have any way to see an actual bill.

I'm concerned that unless I receive prior notice, I won't know of any increases until they happen - and then I'm locked into another 12 month contract.

Contract? I didn’t think they still existed. I (unfortunately) have xfinity as my isp but there’s no contract at all.

yep - you accept a 12-month service agreement (a contract). If you end the service before 12 months is up, there's a penalty.

Amazing how difficult it is to get a monthly bill. $4.50 per month just to see how much you owe them.

Don’t you have an online account with them that you can just sign into?
Sign in to your account and check balances and payments etc.

Funny - I have an online account, but signing in also requires I enter my Frontier account number.

I have never received my account number, and the agent said the only way I can get it is for him to USPS mail me an "authorization" to validate my account number. But the agent said he can't just give me the account number - he can't look it up until I sign and USPS mail back the authorization form. There are multiple hoops to jump through.

Sounds like he should be wearing a dirty shirt, loose necktie and smoking a cigar while leaning over the hood of an old car saying "Trust me, you really want this".....

“The price includes the radio, heater, and all the parts lying on the ground.”

Weird, I just logged in to my old account and it only required my user name and password. My guess is you never fully set up your online account. It also states there is no contract and it is billed month to month. You may have gotten a promotional discount that lasts for 12 months, then the bill increases to the regular monthly charge.

When I cancelled the account, they emailed me a confirmation that had my account number. Maybe cancel, then rejoin immediately.

Exactly. When the promotional discount ends, I have no idea what the new charge will be. Even the Frontier agent I talked with had no idea.

To me that's scary.

Thanks Greg.

Sadly, it's all a game to the ISPs. At 11 months into your current contract, start looking for another company to move to that has a better deal. I moved from Frontier to Tmobile home 5G recently. When I left, Frontier offered me a huge discount to stay. I use gmail so when I change an ISP, I don't have to send everyone a new email addy.
