Front suspension rebuild help for bugeye

Does this seem like a reasonable sequence to put my front suspension back together?

1)Install lower A arm and put in lower fulcrum pins and bushings. (Do bushings get greased?)
2)Put in spring (Use a conventional spring compressor? Do I leave springs compressed throughout procedure?)
3 Attach upper portion of spindle axle to the shock with upper fulcrum and bushings.
4)Install lower fulcrum with cork washers (I am confused by what cork washers to use. I think I have corks from two kits. I have four cork washers with an ID of 13/16", four with an ID of 3/4", and four washer with a beveled inside edge with an ID of 11/16".)

I was told I needed to have the brake lines in first before I do this. I don't have the money for the brake lines at the moment and would like to move forward. Since there is nothing else in my car engine bay at the moment it looks to me like I can do this later. I have never done this before, so any suggestions would greatly be apprecitated.

looks good - bushings don't get greased.

general wisdom is kick in the springs. Lower the A-arm as far as it will go, put the spring in - top first - kick in the bottom then use your jack to compress the spring (under the A-arm) to where you can bolt up the top
 
I'd go for the helper bolt trick. Kicking springs out is one thing, 2 longer bolts to help compress the spring until you can get the regular bolts to threat. I use threaded rod. Helps if you've got a really deep socket.
 
You will have a fairly hard time compressing the springs with a jack from underneath, if you have no engine in the car...

Also, don't put the trunnion on backwards. If you do, wheels will really stick out funny. You'll know you did it wrong when you lower the jack and stand it on it's own wheels.

Brake lines, if you are talking flex hoses, they can be done and changed later. If new hard lines, spend a few extra bucks and get the prebent lines. Will save you a whole lot of time and effort.
 
Someone (just brits .com ?) supplies A arm Fulcrum pins with threaded to accept a zerc fitting at both ends. worth it to track them down if you don't already have a set.
 
I put the springs in last with the help of a series of bolts of various lengths.
