front spring installation

One thing to keep in mind. You're not going to be re-using those bolts or nuts so as long as you don't damage the suspension arms or the spring pans (which are available anyway if you mess up) anything goes.
Agreed. These things are very stuck, so they will not be pretty when they finally come out. I've already twisted one bolt in half trying to remove the nut. I also snapped a socket on one. As Randy said I will apply penetrating oil liberally for some time and move on to easier things for a while, like prepping the engine for removal!
